Parent Skills Training

Many behavioral problems in children and adolescents are not solved by engaging youngsters in therapy.  The most effective techniques involve teaching parents how to respond differently to their children.  This “parent training” teaches parents how to hold their children accountable for their behavior through systems of rewards and penalties.  Emotional tension, debates, and arguments are diminished in the home and children become more compliant.
