Did you know that 80% of anything you try to learn will be forgotten in a few days unless it’s reviewed. This is probably the most common shortcoming of students. They expect to hear or read something once and remember it for an exam. Studies done in the 1800s showed that reviewing information within a couple of days significantly decreases the amount we forget by 60%.  Saying this another way, we’ll remember 40% more if we review. The best strategy for remembering is to continue reviewing material in increasing intervals. For example, after the first review, review again in several days, then after 1 week, then after 2 weeks and so on.
